Allie was purchased from Debby Taylor (now Jackson), Serengeti Ridgebacks back in 1995. She lived with my sister in Austin Texas with her son Trey. She came to live with me close to her 2nd birthday. I loved Ridgebacks since I was a teenager and my horse trainer had them on her horse ranch. I was lucky enough to be friends of T'Shombe's Deuteronomous, T'Shombe's Tasha & Texas Dolly.
I bred Allie to Dude, Ch. Serengeti Dude With A 'Tude back in 1999. I had 10 puppies - 5 ridgeless boys and 5 ridged puppies. What a wonderful experience. Out of that litter, I have Congo and Sydney. Since this was my first litter, Debby offered me to use her kennel name. I did not know this was going to be a lifelong passion, so that's the reason Congo and Sydney are Serengeti instead of Lane.
Congo, International & Canadian Champion, American Dual Champion Serengeti Tito Congo, SC, JOR. TT. Congo lived on a ranch for his first year of life, then came back to me when his mother Allie died. Congo has been here ever since. Congo has been bred 4 times. Please go to his page to read more about his children and grandchildren. Congo just celebrated his 12th birthday in May, 2011. He's doing great!
Sydney, International Champion and American Dual Champion Serengeti Sydney, MC, FCH, JOR. Sydney was bred once, please go to her page to see all of her accomplishments and her children. Sydney passed away when she was 7 years old from a nerve sheath tumor that spread before it was diagnosed. She was a wonderful dog and my heart dog! I miss her everyday. I am so lucky to have lived with her children Sheriff, Emma & Lula for most of their lives. Lula has gone on to live with friends but Emma & Sheriff are my daily buddies.
Madison, Dual Champion Willmar Lane Shopn Madison Ave, SC was bred once. She had 9 beautiful, healthy babies. Go to Congo's Children's Page for more information. Madison has been spayed and lives with a wonderful family down in Houston. She see's her close friends David & Sherri Hurst and her boyfriend Victor frequently when she is boarded at their facility. Sheriff has been bred once. He had a gorgeous litter in 2009 with Fable, Ch. Vyrtuous Summer Music, SC, owned and loved by Jim Purdy of Outtahand Ridgebacks in Springdale, Arkansas. From that litter we are currently showing two of the children Piper & Debbie. In July 2011 I drove with my close friend Jim Purdy to New Jersey to visit my friends at Kimani. Emma was bred to one of their fabulous dogs. Unfortunately she did not take, but we are planning a re-breeding on her next heat cycle early 2012. Sheriff & Debbie went along on the trip to visit their relatives. It was a wonderful trip!
In October 2011, I headed to New Jersey again to visit Kimani - this time with Lula and Dizzy. Dizzy, Jim Purdy's girl, was bred to one of the Kimani dogs. We are expecting a co-bred litter in early December. I have been involved in Dizzy's life along with both of her parents Fable & Victor. It is a true joy to be involved in this litter, I look forward to the litter, showing the puppies, lure coursing the puppies, mentoring all the new owners, and all in all just enjoying the whole experience. I am excited to announce I am a "Breeder of Merit" with the AKC. I have bred enough Champions to qualify. I will be updating my website to note all the dogs I have shown, lure coursed, bred, and mentored.
I love this breed and take it to heart. I will do anything to help new people with their dogs. I also enjoy educating new people on what to look for in a breeder and what all information is available on the internet. Please do not hesitate to contact me via email for more information.
Sincerely Elizabeth Lane
