Sydney, International Champion, American Dual Champion Serengeti Sydney, MC, FCH, JOR
Sydney was shown by professional handler Jeanie Ayala and finished her AKC Championship on December 8, 2001, owner handled. She is an ASFA Field Champion finishing on January 12, 2002. She had lots of fun lure coursing and working toward her AKC Field Championship with the following titles: Junior Courser 10-07-2000, Senior Courser 11-19-2000, Master Courser 04-20-02, and Field Champion & Dual Champion 11-26-02. She has points in LGRA (straight line racing) and NOTRA (oval track racing) also attaining her Junior Oval Racer (JOR) title on 10-14-01. She is an International Champion and is pointed in Canada toward her conformation championship. Unfortunately there was not enough competition the 2 weekends she was in Canada for her to finish while traveling with handlers Jeff and Lori Wilson. Sydney has been shown sparingly as a special, with less than a handful of times in the ring when she and friend Lorna Harper, Abu Sighthounds, won the Best of Opposite Sex award at the 2004 Rhodesian Ridgeback World Congress & Trinity Valley Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Texas, Inc, Regional Specialty, September 2004 with a bitch entry of 140, under Ireland Breeder Judge Anthony Lloyd Edwards.
2005 has been a busy year for Sydney, she was shown by Mandy & Doug Carlson as a special early on in the year. She was shown in New York at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club show in February 2005. After spending a week in New Jersey with wonderful hostesses Alicia Mohr-Hanna, Theresa Lyons and Maureen Tauber, she is currently expecting puppies with sire DC Kimani's Flexible Flyer, SC, TDI, CGC, "Mozambique".

I am pretty sure the white dog is Lynne Newman's Jasmine.

Sydney lure coursing - photo by Shot on Site, 11-2001. She's a very photogenic running dog. We have had lots of fun lure coursing trips in the past with all of our Ridgeback friends including Kito and Nancy Henry, Jasmine and Lynne Newman, Carly & Ezra and Kim Conrow, Cody & Sadie and Stacey Williams, and Phoebe, Dude, Spicey, Lucy and Debby Jackson. Congo has lure coursed, but was showing most of the time we were having all of this fun. What wonderful memories we all have! Too bad we didn't take a camera on all of those adventures.

Sydney at the International Dog Shows in Hutto TX. We had fun at these shows with RR friend Stacey Williams and her pups Sadie and Cody. The look on my face is priceless - wonder what I was thinking about?

This picture was taken by Sydney's friends Debby and Paul Jackson, Serengeti Ridgebacks at RR friend & her co-owner (at the time) Kim Conrow's, Iskandar Ridgebacks/Iskandar Images, home in Crowley, TX. Sydney was bred to Kim's male, Ezra, in February, 2004. Kim was signed onto Sydney's papers just in case she wanted to keep a puppy from the litter and show it in the Bred-By class. Unfortunately Sydney didn't think the timing was right to have puppies, but she had a great time faking pregnancy - she gained enough weight to look like she was full of puppies. We placed a few nice ads in the Ridgeback magazine and The Ridgeback Register with this picture. It would have been fun to see the puppies from this litter.
